Jak Ms Gallo Oak 421 (Ginger)

We purchased Ginger in 2024 at auction from the Sunrise Ranch in Arkansas; she caught our eye in the sale catalog and kept our attention in the ring, so we pulled the trigger. Her pedigree boasts some impressive names and the reputation of just about every horse on it lends itself to what we hope for in a cross for Dusty: athleticism, speed, and functional size. She has a very friendly disposition and is an easy mare to have around.

We didn’t find out until after the fact that some high powered names in the industry were associated with her background: the ranch manager at Sunrise is Chad Vanlandingham, brother and partner to 2023 Run for a Million Champion and four-million dollar NRHA rider Jason Vanlandingham. Needless to say, we’re excited to see what she can do for us. We’re looking forward to seeing her throw a little size and muscle on top of Dusty’s athleticism and quickness for an all-around, versatile cross both in the arena and on the ranch.

Ginger was purchased open, but with a contract for a foal out of Rockin W from the 6666’s. Per their website, he is an ‘06 sorrel stallion by Dual Rey out of Boon San Kitty, by High Brow Cat. He’s an earner of over $300k and an NCHA Open Futurity Champion, among other accolades in the cutting which should come as no surprise. His page at their website is linked here.

Ginger will be exposed to Cats Meradan for a 2025 foal, and also has an outstanding contract with Rockin W for a 2026 foal!
