Dusty in training at Rocky Mountain Performance Horses
Cats Meradan (Dusty) is our first stud in our program. We purchased him from the Sperry Horse Sale in 2020 as a weanling and have had him since. We wanted to bring in a horse with athleticism and a winning attitude, as well as a proven history of winning bloodlines. So far, he’s shown himself to be a great fit for this role.
Dusty spent the winter and spring of ‘23-’24 in training with Jen Bulger of Rocky Mountain Performance Horses. Some notes of hers from his time there: “He’s a quiet but athletic horse with a quick mind that wants to please. He’s very brave and independent and has tons of potential to be a top level performance horse.”
We brought Dusty home in the spring after he had a small injury due to training that required some time off. While we wait for him to heal up and continue training and hopefully begin some competition soon, he’s back home covering mares for his second round of foals for 2025.
Dusty’s first foal hit the ground in the spring of 2024 out of our mare Peppy. She was born a healthy red roan filly and is put together as perfect as one could ask for.
